This project captured the replacement of the 105-year-old Third Avenue Bridge in Mount Lawley Western Australia, improving safety and efficiency on the local road and rail network
The project includes:
- a 20-metre bridge which can cater for a higher load capacity
- a second lane on the bridge eastbound, to separate traffic turning left and right on to Whatley Crescent and improve traffic flow at peak periods
- realignment of the cycle and pedestrian path through a 30-metre underpass closer to Whatley Crescent
- a new footpath across the bridge, linking Railway Parade and Whatley Crescent.
