The 84-year-old Anzac Square memorial requires restoration. This is not uncommon in buildings/structures of its era. Water infiltration into the concrete and stone has damaged the rooms and galleries below. This damage has threatened the future of this unique and much-loved state memorial, which is dedicated to those who have served Australia during conflict and peace. The project (a joint initiative between the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council) saw works undertaken to restore and protect the Anzac Square memorial.
