BMA BHP Mitsubishi Alliance and AE Group collaborate to design and construct a purpose-built travel road to move the 4100XPC Electric Mining Shovel. The move included a rail and road crossing during a 36-hour rail shutdown period. The project consisted of 18 days of construction, 24-hour shift work during the rail shut down, crossing 5 hours ahead of schedule, 5000 total worker hours, 15,000 tonnes of dirt moved and placed, 600m of gravel road constructed road and 4 days to deconstruct and reopen the road.
